Intern Friendly Firms

What does it mean to be intern-friendly?

An architecture firm is considered intern-friendly if its principals are dedicated to fostering leadership and involvement with young professionals.­ To be listed as an intern-friendly firm with AIA Florida, firms must:

• Pay full or partial AIA membership dues for associate members and interns
• Provide a tangible benefit to associate members/interns for passing any ARE division or passing the full ARE Exam.
• Provide multiple mentoring opportunities for associate members/interns to complete IDP hours inside or outside of the office.
• Provide opportunities for associate members/interns to complete IDP hours with on-the-job experience.

What are the benefits of the being an intern-friendly firm?
