Florida/Caribbean Architect magazine mails to over 4,000 architects, associates and partners in the Florida/Caribbean region.
AIA Florida welcomes the submission of your work for consideration in Florida/Caribbean Architect, especially recent architectural projects and stories that expand the narrative of the region's architecture. Beyond projects, we accept member pitches for interviews, artwork beyond architecture, essays on community involvement, representation and inclusion, commissioned "on the boards" designs and more.
We are currently seeking projects and submissions for our Winter 2025 issue. This issue will feature projects that illustrate the impact of the architect, why architecture matters and how architecture influences communities. Submissions are due May 31, 2024 to be considered for this issue.
How to Submit
To submit a project for consideration, complete AIA Florida's magazine submission. The architect of record must be an AIA Florida or Caribbean member in good standing to be published.
AIA Florida reviews all submissions with the magazine editorial committee. If your project is selected, the AIA Florida will reach out to you directly to request more information and high-res images. Please note that there is no need for your pictures to conform to print specs until your project is accepted for publication. Low-res images are preferable when submitting your project for consideration.
Then What Happens?
Our editorial committee meets, reviews the projects and then AIA Florida will contact you directly to collect further details and high-resolution images if necessary and speak to you about your project further if your submission is selected.

Projects
Florida/Caribbean Architect publishes recent architectural projects by member architects, and we want to see your best work. Architects and firms are encouraged to submit their built projects for consideration. Please include a thorough 300- 500-word description in the submission template along with images of the project. Project sketches, drawings and site plans are encouraged.
EP Spotlight
The EP Spotlight section highlights an emerging professional member. Please submit your nomination along with a short paragraph about the individual architects and his/her support of the profession, community, or other outstanding achievements.
On the Boards
This section is for commissioned, unfinished work. Please include a 200-300 word description of the project in the submission template with renderings.
Architects and Their Art
Florida/Caribbean Architect occasionallyfeatures the creative work of an architect. Any creative medium (other than building design) is acceptable. Examples of past features include writing, painting, sculptures and drawing.
Academic Essays
If you are a researcher or academically involved in a project of interest to the architectural profession, we want to hear from you. Please submit a 300-500-word academic essay along with supporting graphics for consideration.
Only AIA Florida, AIA Puerto Rico and AIA Virgin Islands members are eligible to be featured in Florida/Caribbean Architect magazine. If you are not a member and would like to submit, you can learn more about membership here.
